Meeting Content
The first item of the review meeting approved the draft of the national standard "Measurement Method for Resistivity of Nanomaterials" for review.
This standard is mainly drafted by the Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
This standard covers a number of indicators and technical methods for the conductivity of nano materials. Measurable materials include nano films and nano powders. Measurable parameters include block resistance and volume resistivity. The technical principles used include four probe method and four terminal method.
The National Standardization Commission and participating representatives unanimously believe that this standard serves as a series of standard frameworks for measuring the conductivity of nanomaterials for qualitative review. The similar standard "Measurement Method for Resistivity of Nanotechnology Carbon Nanotube Materials Powder", which is pending review at this conference, is anchored under the framework of this standard for collaborative review.
The attending representatives engaged in heated discussions and prudent resolutions on the relevant content of the standards. Including technical principles, instrument equipment, sample processing, measurement steps, result processing, etc. The standard naming has also been improved and modified.
The following is a summary of the highlights of some discussion resolutions:
The original standard name "Method for measuring the resistance of nanomaterials" has been revised to "Method for measuring the resistivity of conductive and semiconductor nanomaterials".
The "elastic four probe method" in the original standard "powder resistivity four probe method" has been modified to "fixed four probe method".
The second item of the review meeting approved the draft of the national standard "Measurement Method for the Resistivity of Nanotechnology Carbon Nanotube Materials Powder" for review.
This standard is drafted by Shenzhen Defang Nanotechnology, Shenzhen Standard Technology Research Institute, and others.
This standard is qualitative as a sub specific standard in the first series of framework standards, "Measurement Method for Resistivity of Nanomaterials". It corresponds to the measurement method of nano powder resistivity - four probe method in the Measurement Method of Nano Material Resistivity.
Representatives attending the meeting warmly discussed and made cautious decisions on the technical principles, instruments and equipment, sample processing, measurement steps, and result processing in this standard.
Due to the high correlation between the two standards approved during the period, a special discussion was conducted on the consistency and coordination of the two standards.
During this one day standard review meeting, Ding Hailong, General Manager of Suzhou Jingge Electronics, participated as the representative of the only manufacturer of electrical resistivity instruments. During the meeting, he provided professional and constructive opinions on the naming conventions, technical principles, standardization of professional terms, feasibility of technical methods, and applicability of test results processing for the two method standards. He received representatives from the Standardization Committee and the standard drafting unit Representatives of nanomaterial testing and production units highly evaluate and adopt them.
